Cable is only more dangerous if you are so stupid to stand in close enough proximity that it can whip out.
If the rope or cable brakes the vehicle being might then be a much large out of control object.
I have seen rope break HEAPS of times compared to very few cable breaks. So the difference is
IF cable breaks compared to
WHEN rope breaks.
Cable is heavier, but proportionally it's SFA.
Yes rope floats, but my jeep doesn't either
I was running rope, but now I run cable again.
