Default Maintenance time!

Hi guys!

Well, after a whole 7 years and 36,000kms, my springs are sagging and bowing, making them rub on the sway bar connectors.

To be fair, they are US Currie ones for a petrol, and mine is a diesel with a bar and winch.

To add to the project, and despite fitting Superior rings, pinions and axles, I've busted the front diff doing very light wheeling (actually it was pulling a Triton, Amarok and a Ranger out of the Macquarie River).

So we're looking at importing a pair of ProRock 60's for it, and fitting new springs.

So who has good springs these days? I'm engineered for 3", so can go that little extra. They need to suit the extra weight of the diesel, AEV steel bar with winch and an aux fuel tank, ARB drawers and Rockslide Engineering rear bar/tyre carrier with steel rimmed 33" tyre hanging off the rear.

Thoughts?

Will try Top Dog dual rate springs, and see how they go. Who's got em? Thoughts?

Yep, only really use it for wheeling/touring and occasional spare car.

Using a 4x4 for only wheeling/touring is ideal. That's exactly what we do. Only gets used around town if we're stuck, or if we need to take a trailer to the tip

No experience with Jeeps yet, but there are two well known Aussie spring manufacturers who actually make springs here. Dobinsons and Kings. Of them, I have had experience with Dobinsons on my 4x4. They do make a range of standard springs and extended springs for the Jeeps:

Dobinsons will also make a specific spring if required.

King Springs apparently make springs for Jeep, but no online catalogue on their site: kingsprings.com.au

Both have a good rep.
