Default Rear Falcon disk brake conversion - spacer width?

Predominately looking for the width of the axle spacer used in the conversion as per the setup Gojeep developed to convert the rear of the XJ to disk, any other info if someone has done/had done the conversion would also be much appreciated.

Hi,

I’ve done the conversion on my 1995 XJ, but not with Falcon parts.
I used Grand Cherokee parts and figured out a way to keep my ABS, which you will need to keep if fitted in Australia.

All looks and works great.
You will have to search through my VSB14 thread on the XJ page for all the photos, parts lists etc... it may help you on your quest.

Cheers,

Thanks, ZJ? There are plenty of vids/writeups, but finding a ZJ to harvest the parts isn't as easy as it used to be, and falcon brakes would match the front conversion, but if I can find the bits off of ZJ I might go down that path

Mine doesn't have it.

Yes, it was the ZJ backing plates and stuff.
I got some of it from US. Used to be a guy that raided the wrecking yards and sold kits on Ebay. It was good and reasonably cheap. Then i just added hand brake cables, brake pads etc..

Your lucky not having ABS, as its a pain. Your better option may be the Falcon setup, but sorry i cant help you with those measurements. I have gone with Black Magic brake pads in the front on stock/new calipers. Made a big difference, but I still should really look at duel pod callipers as the front is still a little weak with my 33" tyres..

Cheers,

Is that for a D35 conversion ?

I have the Ford EA parts and a D44 with the flange plates, I would have to measure them but from memory about 1/4" thick

Its not fitted to the vehicle, as I had problems getting the ARB locker carrier and gears to fit within the right specs
