Got in touch with dealer today, parts have finally arrived and the Jeep is booked in next Tues to have the job done. Service chicky-babe was saying there was a backlog of orders hence the delay but now all fixed and booking a few KJ's in, 15 so far.

Re the towbar thing. If you didn't have one, they fitted a collision bar like @cmohr said (is identical just hasn't got the square receiver bit) and if you do have one it gets changed, even if it was a non-OEM (HR etc). Apparently the original version and non-OEM bars were too close to the fuel tank.

Lucky you my appt with jeep was cancelled due to waiting for parts to arrive. They advised they will text when parts are available, this was for Redcliffe Jeep even though I booked it 2 weeks ago

When I called up, I was told the earliest they could get it in due to waiting for parts was 23rd Sep, over a month from when I called. Maybe FCA didn't order enough into the country....

i called Mt Gravatt Jeep, and was booked in Mansfield service center
if you don't mind the distance from Redcliffe - try giving them a call, maybe they have parts. they pretty much offered me appointment for next week so didn't have to wait at all.

On the phone to FCA right now, they confirmed the dealer is correct, replacement if required after inspection. its not a wholesale replacement program like the Front lower ball joints were back in 2006.
Well, now I'm completely confused!

I rocked up to my local dealership that told me that its an inspection 2 weeks ago when I booked it in. Service advisor tells me its a replacement! Talk about miscommunication, anyway they fitted up two shiney new LCAs while I waited.

They look beefy or larger, should have taken more notice of what the original ones looked like before they ended up as scrap. Anyway happy now

Got the new arms fitted yesterday. Dropped off at 8am, picked up at 10am.
Doesn't really feel any different to TBH but they're shiny and I like shiny things

Mine goes in next week, apparently needs the 2013 tow bar recall at the same time. When I booked at Jeep Sydney, the lady I spoke with said my vin required both so I'm cheering!
