Default Help - Glow Plug Replacement advice.

Evening all.
Has anyone who's done the glow plugs on a 2.5crd please got a brief rundown of what needs to come off in order to get the glow plugs out, roughly how long to allow and any tips on the job?
Also, can it all from above or does the job need access to anything from underneath?
(Note - I already understand about doing with engine block hot/warm)
It's a 2003 2.5crd
Many thanks in advance.

The back two are the worse, you may have to remove the intake elbow to access them. The alternator is easy to remove to get front access. Make sure you have the right socket, it needs to be thin walled and deep enough to fit into the plug recess to the plug body nut. Luckily i had an old thin walled 1/4" drive socket that fit. Most 1/2" drive components will not get in there. A uni-joint might help but the job is pretty straight forward. I would suggest testing your tool setup on one of the easy ones before you start taking things apart.
For God's sake don't break one off. They usually come out pretty easy. I recommend putting some anti-seize compound on the new threads before installing them, just in case you ever need to take them out against. I am a big believer in using anti-seize.
