anyone had the same problem or can shed some light as to what could be the problem, dont want to take her to stealership they charge megabucks just to look.

Odometer reading?
Might need a radiator change.

If all is OK again them it's prolly a computer glitch as in a overheated TPS or CPS which came good when it cooled down. Make the problem happen two or three time more b4 you panic...

thanks for your replys guys, ozjeeper its got 202,000 on the clock and serviced by me every 10,000 and the radiator was flushed 6 months ago,you could be right with computer glitch or elec problem as i have the common problem with this model of having to pull the 50amp fuse once a week to get my elec windows to work on the drivers door.
bent, that was my next thought as they are original,if it does it again they will be going in the bin.
thanks guys, will look into it during the week.
cheers glen

Silly as it sounds to cure an engine problem, clue here is the electric windows....

Pull the drivers side door apart and clean the electric consul with CO2 contact cleaner in a spray pack. Dust on the contacts is a known issue...

Had to drive 220km with the drivers side window down (in rain ) )

Back to the engine problems. I would be checking error codes and looking at O2 sensors, TPS and CPS in that order. That is presuming you have done plugs, etc recently...
