Default Thanks for the ad and a question!

Hi
I'm in the UK and I've joined this forum because your level of knowledge for WJ's especially the diesels is second to none.

We have very little off-roading in the UK, most 4x4's are just used on the school run! I'm very envious of you guys, with access to fantastic countryside to explore.

I got my 2003 2.7 CRD Overland very cheap, mainly because it's got a few problems! Slowly working through them and I'm about to replace the low pressure fuel lines next to the thermostat at the front of block.

Any tips or "watchouts" I should know about?

Thanks

Andy

First thing to do is set yourself up with Diag Pro software and a good quality ELM327 adaptor (not a cheap Chinese knock-off).

From there, deal with the problems as they arrive.

RockAuto is a good source of parts, except steering (LHD vs RHD issues). Interestingly, I get steering parts from UK via eBay or Amazon.

What JeanLuke said but just add, spend a bit of time looking through the old posts etc on this forum. No matter what problem you will have someone on here has had it and if you can do your own spanner work you will save heaps and have a lot of fun with the WG.
