Building 2 new antennas for my home broadband, I use 4G, no landline and the precision needed is driving me nuts but must be done as my old one is over 10 years old and showing its age and with the school holidays and Xmas hordes arriving our internet dies, so upgrading to a MiMo set up will, hopefully give me a bit more bandwidth so things won;t just stop ... .................. Is it Ego or tight wallet ? bit of both I think, certainly $300 isn't easily found and Ive built a few so build again and get the feels goods after, hopefully............ if I stay sane.

The reality is we have forgotten far more than we can remember!
Like you drover I built my own PC's for many years...and problem solved those of mates and even some office based systems...the one I am working with now I built and put in to service maybe 5 years ago now.
Software has changed so much over the past decade that I won't even attempt to write my own scripts anymore!
