i like things the way they are,
if your after seperate areas so tp speak cant they just spend more time in the TITLE of their thread / post??

if we do split it up there is nothing stopping a WG owner going into a WK threaded area and reading up just means there will be more effort required from users either way with their searches or mouse clickings :D

Si!!!

I with the no segregation crowd. Initially I felt a bit inconvenienced looking at posts that turned out to not be my model but I have recently commented in many of the newer threads. Whilst I understand the segregation for some I would see the benefit outweighed by the reduced input. Whilst I would initially probably follow the others I know I would eventually drop out of them. Out of sight out of mind.

There's more in common with WH and XH than WG and WH....just food for thought :-;

Personally I always look in all sections of the forum that interest me.

What is stopping people having an occasional dip in the other sections of the site? For example I often look in the JK threads for ideas, and its interesting watching the 2011/12 GC stuff pick up.

I also know to look in the TJ section for 4.0L related info, but it's harder to find anything ZJ/ZG related because of all the other threads in there.

But I often watch other sections and chime in where I feel I have some valuable info to share.

Hence the reason for my question.

It would help if when people make a post they let us know what model and engine they are talking about and I suppose you could give the newbies WH/WK their own spot and they could visit the sages in the WG/ZG site for advice.

Thats actually a worthwhile point to put to the moderators and make it part of forum rules. I was part of a Toyota forum and it was policy to have your model, year, egine type etc included in your signature line to make sure all who read and posted were aware what the post related to as so many forget to cover this off. It just stops the necessary question every time one of those posts crop up.

I would like some seperation for sure. It would definately make it easier to find information on your specific model. They new threads are displayed when you log in and im sure that when people see them and have answers they go in straight from the front page.
