Question New Jeep GC Blackhawk

Hi All,

Just looking for some advise/assistance. I am have recently bought a new 2017 Blackhawk which is arriving this week. I've been on a bit of a purchasing spree and now just looking at lift kits, and think I have settled on the Murchison product, people on here seem pretty happy with them.

What I would like to know is what are the biggest or decent sized tyres I could now order once the lift kit is fitted on. I assume it would be best for me to also ditch the stock 20" rims that come with the Blackhawk. What would be the best sized rims 16s, 17s or 18s? I've order fender flairs to accommodate larger tyres.

I'm looking for more rough aggressive off road styling that pure street that it comes with as stock.

I doubt 16" will fit over the brakes...they don't on a JK.

Tyre availability and price wise, I'd go 17".

Just looked at mine, I have 18s and there is bugger all space between rim and brake caliper.

I'm with Leigh, you will find 16s won't fit as they changed from 16s to 17s to clear the larger brakes early in the models life.

17s will also give you the most choice of different tyre sizes as they are a very common size for 4x4s.

I tried my jk 17" on a 2015GC and it wouldn't fit on the front. Unfortunately you might be limited to 18" only unless you markedly change the offset of the rim
