Default Locking problem
My 03 Limited 4.7 has just started doing a few strange things when locking it. 1st up the drivers side is the main prob as the others seem to lock ok. I have to push fob button a few times and/or open and shut door to get it to lock and then sometimes the little red alarm light doesn't come on.
Also the windows are having problem with the drivers side control, also have to open and shut the door a couple of times. The window control on drivers door won't wind up or down if drivers door is open.
Any ideas anyone please.

Gotten worse now, none of windows work, drivers door doesn't lock except by key, mirror control and interior lights that are controlled by opening the doors don't work also grrrrr.
I checked fuses but there doesn't seem to be one for the drivers door control module. I did have similar issues with my old 99 GC 4.0L and it was the wires in the door earthing out.

It's likely to be a broken/intermittent wire in the drivers door harness. You may need to do some investigation here and see how you go.

It's a crappy position but it's not impossible to get in there and do some probing, you just need to use some commonsense and be methodical and hopefully you'll find a problem. I believe it's usually the power wires that create the problem.

Do you have a manual?

Ended up taking it to Hammond 4x4 in Capalaba as was the only people who could fit it in inside of 2 weeks.
It was the wires in the door, they said it had been fixed 3 times before, took 45 minutes and cost 105 bucks.
I'm happy with that [emoji4]
