yep.. 35's since late 2012 here.. no carnage yet and I do some pretty hard tracks.. just take it easy i.e. crawl don't bounce... but be aware that carnage may happen so make sure you have some $$ put aside for if it does..

just do it.. blokes in the US have been wheeling 37's on stock D30's without incident.. it doesn't mean that they will handle it, but if you are gentle it may survive..

Yep, I'm running 35s on stock D30 and no dramas yet (touch wood). Like the others say, drive with mechanical sympathy. Slow and steady always wins the race and has a lower repair bill at the finish line

This is one of those rare threads that gets hidden away in everything else on here, but everyone looks for. Now the question is, who is running 315s/35s, d30 and standard gearing!

I ran standard gearing (3.7) for about a year with Pentastar auto.. was "ok-ish" but did have to use the brakes quite a bit downhill.. onroad was fine.. but the change to 4.8 made a HUGE difference and brought the thing to life

From my readings, it should be fine if left unlocked. We really don't have much in the way of rock crawling like our USA friends do so we stress our jeeps a bit differently off-road. If it does go, I'd go straight to a pro rock 44.

With the automatic you should b alright as long as you take it light with the skinny pedal and get the shift points changed esp since you can take it slow and more technical while rock climbing

What's the reason you want to run 35s?

If the reason is to look good, somewhat gnarly looking but doing the easier stuff, then stick with the 30.

You don't want to break axle components when out there in the middle of the bush. Harder still if you're on your own. Motoring services will only tow you out when you're on the black top or close to it.

Either way, you will have to spend money on getting it engineered.

So, the REASON to stay D30 or upgrade to 44/60 is a personal one. There is nothing to prove by staying on D30 or D25. You just want to have the assurance and the better chance of making it a safe, clean and fun time out there.
