please ... if you have never used one before get sometraining... chaisaw accidents are bu nature horific. . .
Stihl or husky are the go.... family members in the wood industry and thats all they use.
do not buy cheaper brands... cheaper quality products in a chainsaw is asking for trouble.
and as PAZ said... keep it sharp... nothing worse than forcing a chainsaw to cut..
I use to build wharfs slipways and boats.. and i have cut a number of boats up with a chainsaw and an axe.

Default saw

I agree with Grant I use a solo its a good west german saw reliable heaps more grunt than a stihl or husky.

However the most important thing you can do to your saw is keep it sharp as mentioned above. You can cut through most things no matter what sized saw as long as its sharp and you employ some patience.

My old man just recently bought a Stihl and the best thing about it is the nice plastic carry case that the whole thing fits into to keep dust/dirt/moisture/creatures away from it. It's awesome.

Goodol55, Husky doesn't make Trials bikes as they mostly specialize in Enduro and race circut bikes, they're no honda, yamaha, ktm or Gas Gas but they're ok. I've got some husky petrol equipment (blower, snipper, etc) and they're ok too. Stihl is better quality IMO.
