Only put it up twice, both on quite solid vegetation. When I start doing beach fishing I think I'll need to get some of those spiral sand pegs for the guide ropes. the std ones would pull out.

Recommendation I had from mates who do alot of time on the beach is to carry a few of those coles/woolworths fabric shopping bags and hang them full of sand from the awning to hold it down. Works well *thumbsup*

That sounds like a bloody good idea, or just chuck the sand bags over the pegs,

Great day in the Great Southern on Tues (29deg)
Went fishing with my son in his Paj (keeps my Laredo clean ), we put his Kings awning up, it was so still we didn't even need the ropes.
