Is there a torque converter lockup solenoid? I know there is about three of em. What do they do?

The trans did get a bit of a workout at Jambo.

Was nice catching up with you mate.
There are 3, 2 work in tandem for 1-4 and the 3rd is TQ lockup.

They are the same as Toyota A340 trans so quite common to find, Try to get genuine though or good second hand as I had some cheapies that blew the weld on the bracket.

Here's a write up to replace.

Just got mine back from Jambo with a couple of stop overs, noticed I really gave the front tyres a thrashing when I aired up in Lithgow

Good to catch up mate.
Put it in the "Jambo damage thread".

If you tap the brake at speed, to get the tc to normally unlock

Well, I'll be chasing a heat issue soon. Not overly concerned at this stage.

At the moment,I'm swapping power steering from the blue J to the white J.

Ol' white decided to make bizarre noises, and became quite notchy. Then this morning backing out, it made an awful POP noise. Checked it out and couldn't find anything. But changing it all out for good measure. Check the chassis while I'm there.
