Pat did some magic DVD's with Roothy. Roothy is still doing great stuff, a little more refined these days. A movie title comes to mind 'The good, The bad *** *** ***y' Hey JR, I never said a thing.

Strange! I rather admire the man as he 'dares to be different' and packs a decent wallop of mechanical and bush knowledge. Even better,he is my bush cooking tutor and the lessons are coming along just fine. It would appear, he comes from a background where men actually did some manual labour and exercise was part of just the normal daily routine. But, no doubt, there is someone you admire that someone else would possibly call a ********wit.

Got a pdf re this show e-mailed to me today..... the following was in it

"For the first time in Australia, a regular 4X4 television series will be shown nationally. Pat Callinan’s 4X4 Adventureswill air on NetworkTEN from October in all metro markets, as well as Southern Cross TEN in regional Australia, giving the exciting new show true national coverage.
Pat Callinan’s 4X4 Adventureswill take you to Australia‟s most inspirational 4X4 destinations, and encourage „self-drive‟ family adventures. Expect to see stunning images, great characters, driving and recovery tips, with a good dash of 4WD accessories, camper-trailers, gadgets and DIY. Pat will be joined by co-host and 4WD mechanic PedrFrancis. The production is conscious of its environmental responsibilities and will be doing everything it can to limit their impact on the environment, and that includes offsetting expedition vehicles carbon emissions by planting trees through Greenfleet. They have also chosen new mid-sized clean-burning KIA diesel 4X4s, as opposed to larger petrol models.
The programme will be shown on weekends reaching a massive 500,000 viewers per episode! So over the 13episodehalf-hour series, the show will reach more than 8-million viewers.Pat believesthe serieswillprovide a boost to the 4WD industry: “The beauty of this programme is that it introduces 4WD adventure to a whole host of people out there who have 4WDs, but who don‟t use them. There‟s a massive potential market out there that‟s yet to experience theawesomefeeling of going off-road. We plan to make it easy for them. Of course, enthusiasts will love it too.”
The show is backed by key sponsors including KIA Motors, ARB, BF Goodrich, GME, SatcommsAustralia, Blue Dog Clothing and HEMA Maps, who all have the utmost confidence in the concept.Filming has already commenced, with the Victorian High Country episodes successfully completed. Next stop is Fraser Island and Coffs Coast, followed by a superb trekfrom Cape York through the Gulf and then onto the Kimberley.Latein the year, expect to see a flurry of new projects come to fruition, as Pat launches three brand new books and a website called MR4X4.COM.AU.
