Default Battery Time!

OK, my Optima yellow top d34 in the '08 is starting to fail. Low capacity, getting hard to start in the morning, leave accessory on for a few hours & it dies completely. (Currently on the charger, again.)

1. What is the group thoughts on the current 'go to' battery? Preferably, I'd like one with more than just the 2 posts, though.

2. And where are the best places to buy, these days?

I'm running a D31 Blue Top marine deep cycle as my aux battery and an Intimidator 9A34R as my main battery.

Higher CCA and capacity than the D34 and has been going strong for around 3 years now.

This looks an interesting option:
But only two post.

I had a good experience with Optima's warranty after one of my almost brand new yellow tops suddenly died.

To me, Odyssey and Northstar are very reliable and long-lasting.

This one's at least 6 years old. Probably in the 6-8yo range. I'll look into those ones.

It fired up the car ok, a couple of times today after being on the charger overnight. I'll see how it is tomorrow, but I can see the writing on the wall for it.
