Default Bloody indian givers

Well I thought I was getting a belated xmas present this morning when I phoned Albion Jeep to see if the actuator motor was in stock and was told yes!!

So they booked it in for fitting on Thursday.

Had a phone call a few minutes ago to be told that their inventory system was wrong and they have not received any actuator motors and that they were still being manufactured in the States.

What a letdown.....

Has anybody had the motor fitted in the last few days or am I being given the short straw?

This has really started to become a serious problem as I have already delayed a trip away once and now have to put it on the backburner again.

They don't seem to know when the stock will arrive. Lets hope they at least send them air freight.

Cheers

Back to the dealer today and as expected they speculated that the GDE tune could be a factor. Initially I assumed they were clutching at straws however....

Ran through with the tech what he did and it was as per the post by ozjeepster and essentially just cleared the FDCM codes 3 times then verified all was working normally. The strange thing is that after picking it up, it's back to having a very long throttle with poor low end response again as if the factory tune has been restored!

Totally confused now but at least low range is working again.

I have a actuator motor that tested faulty so I replaced it 18 months ago, funny thing the new one from rock auto showed the same fault.
We then replaced the TCM and all was good again.

If you want to try my old one ...can post its a simple job to changeover.

I have not done the recall, reading this thread am in no hurry to.
Cheers
Tony

Hi Bazzab,
I agree with your sentiments 100% If you read my thread 140 we all seem to be being treated like mugs. This N23 thing has gone on for 4 months with me, nearly 1000klms backwards and forwards to dealer. One cancelled trip to Tasmania before Xmas.If the actuator does not fix the problem I am looking at other avenues to recover expenses.Combined that with 5 weeks off the road waiting for other parts (under warranty) and the whole last 4 months has been a bloody nightmare!!I have been told that my actuator would arrive this week.!!Three weeks before that I was told over 300 on B/O worldwide.

Went back to the dealer today & asked for progress update & was told that it wouldn't be covered by warranty,

Mentioned the star case & was told that's an American issue.

Too & throw with questions & (this is the part where I nearly lost it) they admitted they hadn't even contacted Chrysler at all

Quoted the number from ozjeepster's post & asked them to re-check with Chrysler & was told that they don't contact Chrysler.

I asked very politely if they could contact Chrysler & was told all they could do is send them a request for good will!

I asked them to do that now lets see what happens.

Anyone got Coffs Harbour Jeep's phone number
