Check out my Ride(s)
Default SRT Springs

so i haven't been happy with the rear end in my 2011 JC wk2 Laredo ever since i got it

i don't tow so i wanted to level the car by lowering the rear only

so i manager to buy some SRT rear springs and with much trepidation installed them this afternoon took about an hour

so first up it was an easy job, driving impressions are they are a vast improvement over the originals, ride quality is vastly better, no harshness at all

it lowered the car 15mm only, but it may settle a little over the next couple of days

overall super please with the outcome

Finally got the tow pro installed by an auto sparky today. Overall, happy with a clean install in the spot that I wanted.

Less pleased that, while fault finding why my UHF (wired direct to battery) wasn't working, I found the vehicle's ground cable hadn't been tightened to the negative terminal! Good thing I had a look, as you don't want that sparking under your seat... Not too grumpy though, mistakes happen.

Tidy ..........................
I prefer to run a small fuse panel off the battery to connect extra stuff to, keeps the battery terminals clear and lessens the chance of something happening under the seat....

BNE to SYD and back last week for TayTay - concert was damn impressive, but so was the fuel economy. Certainly can't complain about 8.9 with 32" LT ATs, roof platform, UHF, light bar, and about 250kg of other accessories and gear. Would've been lower too if not for a few city miles through Sydney, Newcastle, Nambucca, and Kingscliff.

Pretty damned good LeCheese...

I just did a calc on the consumption on my Jeep for that Bathurst trip a couple of weeks ago, as I don't worry about it too much.
But I have done the calc again and again and I still get 8.6 litres per 100k...surely it can't be that good!
Same tricked up Jeep, Bull Bar, spotlights, winch, full chief roof rack, awning, running Fat MT's...standard QL suspension.

2,362kms used 270.48 litres = 8.60 k's per litre...No cities in the way on that run, just driving through a couple of very small towns...only stopped for fuel at Moree to fuel.

I thought it was going pretty good at the time as I fueled before I left, then at Moree, then at Bathurst...same on the way back...

I think I've found your problem Jeeper - the figure on the dash (and quoted in specs) is litres per 100km, not km per litre.

Equation should be 270.48 litres / 23.62 (100kms) = 11.45L/100km, which sounds more likely given your setup

lol...apologies...8.6kms to the litre, not per 100km...should have been 11.63 litres PER 100km...
