JL Overland Wheels and Tyres

Looking for advice on wheels and tyres for a JL 2D Overland I have on order. Have had a JK 2D Sport for many years and run the stock wheels with Bridgestone AT697 in 285/65R17.

On the JL, I want to run alloys, sticking to the 18in but going out to 8in or 9in. Then run 285/65R18. I am guessing it will be fine, but would I get any fit/rubbing issues on 18x9? I would then love to run the Bridgestone’s again, but they do not come in that size.

Any recommendations on a wheel and tyre combo? This is my wife car and will be 99.9% run on road. The Bridgestone’s were great on the road for noise and grip but still gave us a more aggressive look. Hoping to find something similar.
Would also consider dropping to a 17in alloy to be able to the run the AT697 285/70R17.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've put Falken WILDPEAK AT3W 285/65R18 on my JL Rubicon with 9" XD rims. Really like them and a nice ride.

Awesome. What's the offset of your XD wheels? Also, is your JL lifted?
