Where exactly do you go in Moab? I've been then alot and love the place during winter when I'm there. I love White Rim Canyon and Natural Bridge NP.

I go to all the trails in the books,as well as some that aren't that we just happen across. These are some- Behind the rocks, The Pickle ,Mashed Potatos, Potato salad, Kane creek, Hells revenge, Fins & things, can't do Lions back anymore the land got sold for condo's. White rim is neat but a long trip & Mineral bottom had a big landslide this year so is closed untill the county fixes it next year sometime.Umm...Elephant hill is one I have been wanting to do but havn't yet. So before you come over get the book,"Moab, Ut Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" by Chrles A Wells. If you get it from Amazon it's a lot cheaper than from a shop in Moab
& it will be a big help to you. January? there will be snow on the ground & slippery slickrock
