Thanks Stu for the 5x5.5 AEV Savagre's

when I got her back [emoji3]

Why were the Savagres wheels machined out in the centers, were these new or second hand? Are they for the JK or where they for the fully floating hub axles conversion?
They are now not hubcentered rims!!
JKs use the step on the hub to locate and center the rim not the studs, they are just to clamp the wheel once located on the center.
See the difference?

Not trying to rain on your parade, Jeep looks awesome and very capable!
Matt.

Hi Matt, the Savagre's are made by AEV as 5x5.5 specifically to run manual hubs and in that application they are hub centric.... Check out my other post for the diff that's going in the front, rear will get a full float

I bought 10 of these rims from AEV through Stu at Murchison

Starting changing over factory suspension to AEV 2.5" lift. Rear springs and shocks done. Will start on the front tomorrow.

I hope you dont end up as sore as I did replacing the shocks while it's on the ground. Trying to compress Fox Shocks to fit them in their mountings almost killed me

Bilsteins are stubborn as well. But kept my senses. Put the bottom bolt first and used the hydraulic jack to lift the diff/compress shocks. I was getting frustrated and agitated initially (had connected the top first).... [emoji1]
