The TSB updates 3 pipes, all pre-kinked hard plastic:
1) a small dia recirculation line extension to the valve assy;
2) a large dia long vent line from the filter (up in the filler neck);
3) a large dia vent line extension to the valve assy.
The vent filter is also updated for MY07.

It’s a new TSB and some techs don’t do it in a factory way. Mine was all twisted and hanging. I had to re-do it myself. Some cable ties were missing, some put in the wrong spots. Double check that the new filter was bolted to the filler neck with a sheet metal screw as per TSB. Mine was just small cable tied to the neck. I had to bolt it with the right screw myself as well. After all wasn’t a big drama.

Had my kit installed at the dealer last week: all good to report. The pump still clicks off once with the initial gush, then smooth & fast all the way to the top. Crawled underneath and looks like a clean install (no kinks, leaks etc.). I reckon the wholesale parts cost for this would've been in the order of tens of dollars per vehicle. Now that wasn't so difficult was it, Chrysler?

has anyone hacked away the blocking plate in the fuel filler so they can fit a high flow diesel pump into it?

Dealer has redone the install and all looks satisfactory now. Fills up with no problems now.

I had mine done in Darwin last week. On a shortie diesel. The mechanic said it was a bugger of a job and took him quite a while. When it was finished the mechanic was disgusted to find that the change had made no difference at all!! I have yet to try it as they gave me a full tank of fuel. I will be interested to see if there is any change.

Cheers

hard to believe. have you tried it yet?? since the tsb was done, i've now been using only high flow pumps with a narrow nozzle. goes w/o a click at full squeeze till full. those bp pumps 6c cheaper than everywhere else in adelaide.
