Yep - flatly refusing to cover our battery under warranty was the nail in the coffin for our local dealer - we will only go near them for recalls and such - other work and servicing will go to a local non dealer workshop that specialises in Jeep.

Our TH is booked at the dealer for S55 (and assessment for the Rear Drive module noise - which they've been asked to look at the last 2 times its been in there - 3rd time the charm?) this Thursday.

Edit with update: the S55 recall for us only involved a flash to latest software (no fault codes for the loom issue) - which they evidently got right because our Trailhawk is like a new car - transmission is behaving very much like any normal automatic now. I asked them AGAIN to also address the RDM bulletin and they did! - subsequently we also had the DTCM replaced and flashed - so no more high pitched noise

Still get low voltage battery warning if i turn the key to run before start and wait a bit before starting fully, which im not sure if it was like that before hand.or should be. No error codes showed at last service eigther can anyone confirm if this is normal or not? Plz

Bought our Trailhawk with 7 kms on the clock 3 years ago today (exactly). Its been serviced by the local dealer without any dramas. Last service stop/start wasn't working so IBS was replaced and it worked fine. Last week stop/start stopped working again. So on today's 36 month service dealer replaced IBS and the factory battery - all under warranty and free of charge. Happy with their service.

Yeah it really depends on the individual dealership. Our dealership also sells other brands and I know people who have bought those brands and have had similar issues having anything dealt with that's even a tiny bit outside the normal.

In our case yeah normal servicing and addressing recall stuff has been fine, but having anything outside that servicing etc. done has been like hitting a soft wall - ie. it's all "yep, yeah no worries we'll look into it" but NOTHING happens.

Sort of things I'm talking about were a warranty claim on leaking passenger side RDM seal, getting them to look at the high pitched RDM motor squeal (took FCA intervention to finally get movement on both of those) - and having the DTCM software updated to make the thing drive like a normal damned car (we got that fixed coincidentally as software update was part of one of the recall actions).

So frustrating because FCA seem quite willing to go quite a long way to help - but it's the dealers they have to work thru.
