I did both CV joints on my front driveshaft just over a year ago. Got them cheap on eBay, about 60 bucks each, theu seem to have held up ok, same joints as a lot of shops were selling

Well that would require swapping out an axle at least installing a U joint yoke on the rear of the diff. The cv's on my Jeep (WG CRD) lasted 225K and are only the rear is worn (boot not torn). If I plan to lift my jeep 4" I would definitely consider getting swapping out for an XJ front if it would fit a CRD.
