Nah Simsy's new bar is a replacement under insurance, have a look through his other posts, he explains it there.

My new bar is also through insurance I would go the ARB but the lack of recovery points and the very weak paint on my ARB front bar puts me off.

$40 is a cheap difference between the stock bar and the ARB bar. I am paying $300 and the mopar bar is a fair bit cheaper than the ARB bar.

ARB bar is powder coated rather than painted.

Mopar bar + compliance kit quoted at $1100 - plus fitting
ARB bar + compliance kit quoted at $1170 FITTED. I might suggest you shop around a bit more.

aahahahah same here! I got rear ended by a taxi, and got my mate at the panel shop to get me the rear bar instead. Cost me nothing on top. Thats funny, 3 insuro jobs for rear bars. Well for what its worth, the mopar rear is fantastic. Its same coated as the rubi rock rails only thing i had to do was in order to fit the larger shackles, i just had to drill the holes out slightly bigger. Nice bar, does its job and good clearance

I got quoted $900 for the mopar bar and $1300 for the ARB bar both prices non fitted, I shopped around a fair bit things can be a bit more expensive in WA.

Since I already have the powder coated ARB front bar and the coat on the recovery points has come off with minimal use I am a bit put of the ARB rear bar.

Price for the mopar bar doesn't include the compliance kit.

Hey Dave - would be interested to know the final cost fitted. I just spoke to my local dealership and they've quoted me:
rear bar - $1120
compliance kit - $215
fitting (approx 3-4 hours) - $315

Would be interested to have a comparison...
