Default Transmission Cooler- recommendation ?

I want to install
Will I really see positive results?
How to install?

Any information....

It's hard to say if you'll see any difference unless you have the means to be able to measure temperatures. With the WJdiag software, you'd be able to read the temps to see if the extra cooler helps.

My opinion is it can't hurt to install one, the transmission cooler fluid can never be too cold IMHO.

From memory you're in IL so not sure what your options are, I have one of these installed on mine https://www.pwr.com.au/portfolio/external-plate-fin ,I think this is the correct part number - PWO0527.

I purchased from my local auto parts store, I believe they export to the US so you may be able to get one from there pretty easily.

Many, many moons ago when I had a WG I installed a Tranny Cooler on it, I used a V8 sized unit, a Davies I think, I plumbed it in between the tranny and the raiator and noticed a sizeable drop in eng temps when towing, fitted in the area beside the power steering cooler....... Many say plumb it after the radiator but I found the temp was higher that way, I did some temporary temp checks with a portable thermometer tied to a line.
