It would be interesting, a bit heavier than my like but definitely would consider it when buying a new bar.

Already exists it's made by MBRP and looks great in my opinion. Google search MBRP hoop and will find plenty of places that sell it.

Cool!! I do rather like the idea of two 'C' type brackets though

Thanks for the suggestion Mudder. Not quite what I had in mind. I want the lights to be on top of the fitting - not hanging underneath - and not limiting air flow through to the radiator like those MBRPs would. If it was a bar I would want it to be very low in height - just high enough to get to the light mounting nuts.

I had a friendly chat to the dealer about what would and wouldn't affect any potential "under bonnet" warranty claim so I'm pretty clear on the concept that I want. Plus - I'd rather pay an Aussie for the fittings.

Is this light bar low enough? although as soon as you add spotties it will block airflow

Do you know how this compares to other bars (ARB, TJM, etc) and the stock plastic fantastic park bench? I'm sure someone posted this info up at some point but I'm damned if I can find it. I found a post claiming the DBOR bar was about 40Kg and from memory that was a bit lighter than the mainstream competition but I can't find the posts with the figures.

being that i designed the DBOR bar i can tell you it was 40 kg, now 42kg with steel top hoop instead of ally.

I think i remember, but may be wrong, that aev was around 50kg, and ARB 45kg

I think Mopar is by far the lightest, but not sure on it's weight. I'm tipping 35kg
