I remember fitting the springs to the struts all those years ago, I will definitely be using a proper strut compressor or get a clam shell spring compressor for that job.
are they the new ball joints, thats whats i got with mine near 2 years ago and one of them failed with less than 15k on it (18 months but my car sat for 9 months when i had my accident). after waiting for 3 months i finally got a new one from murchison and its completely different.

Do you know where to get parts for the rebuildable one mine is scored but still operates quite smoothly just the spring/dome washer on top is broken.

Hey Clarky late reply but i installed these ones on my jeep and had to add some washers to get the rubber boot to seal at the top. I was concerned it wouldnt seal well in the rain and mud so added a extra washer so it was tight. When i went offroad the boot got pinched and ended up splitting so had to replace it. Wasnt overally happy with the way that area is designed. I actually emailed the bloke over at JBA offroad (Marlin) as I was annoyed the washer they supply isnt deep enough to get the boot to seat nor does it say anywhere you need to supply your own additional washers especially when buying something for like $600. Dont know if you ran into the same issue but mine on both sides the bushes that the bolts go through at the back once tightened you could move the arms up and down freely and felt like it was really putting pressure on the rubber.

The JBA arms I fitted on my 2010 WH had spacers ,tightened up reasonably well, however the greasable ball joints do not keep out water as boots only seal against arm ,not good!Every few months I grease them moisture and dirty grease gets forced out.

im not a expert or anything but i thought that was the idea, not being super tight was to allow the dirt to be pushed out when freshly greased or am i been optimistic.

I grease mine after every 4x4 trip, but in saying that i had one fail with about 20k on it.

Have had the JBAs for 2 years and 50k km. Greased up on installation and twice there after. Zero problem.
