Just back from Wagga. 8.3 l/100 kms for the trip.

I now have a fully working Jeep LLAMS system in my Grand Cherokee - the only one in existence!

This little switch is the only evidence of its existence:

I mounted the switch in a small black plastic box in the hatch in front of the gear lever so it is out of sight when the hatch is closed, but easily accessible and visible - it has a multi-coloured LED to show it on and either plus or minus - when I am on a trip. I have the hatch open on trips as the leads for the GPS, phone, UHF mike and TPMS come out of there.

The results:

The air suspension works as normal when the LLAMS switch is off - no LED.

With the switch turned up (red LED), all heights are raised.

NRH + LLAMS = NRH + 50 mm
This is the same as OR 1 + 15 mm and works at any speed.
OR 1 + LLAMS = OR 1 + 40 mm
This is the same as OR2 +10 mm and works up to the OR 1 speed limit.

If you use LLAMS at OR2 you will run out of gas and cause an air suspension error message on the screen, but it will give you more height on the rear to get out of trouble. You turn the engine off and back on to clear the error. It will also cause the pump to overheat! EMERGENCY ONLY!!!!!

LLAMS also works to reduce heights. If you turn LLAMS to minus (green LED) at Aero it will drop the car around 20 mm. The same with NRH minus LLAMS, so you get effectively Aero at any speed as it is not speed limited on NRH.

The main advantage is that NRH plus LLAMS will give you a 50 mm lift at any speed which is great for touring on fast gravel or sandy roads.

A lot of time was spent testing and fine tuning to get these results. The system appears to work flawlessly. I shall be testing it whenever I can to make sure all is well.

And I am sick of driving up and down the Hume Highway... But I have to do it again for Easter in the North East!

Cheers

My thoughts exactly!

Mine is hard wired in as the connectors needed for a "plug in" install have to be sourced - if that is possible...

Cheers

Price for a hard wired kit - not installed - would be $350. Installation is not hard, but the plug and play kit would be a lot easier, if the plugs are available.

No kits available until we are happy with mine - just call me the guinea pig!

Hopefully in a few weeks they will be available.

Cheers
