Wanted- a power supply in the dash
Hi all
I bought a USB phone charger for Jeebus, and hooked it into the cig-lighter power because the fuses are under the bonnet. Well, that didn't go down well!
Has anyone got a link or photos of a power source under the dash I could use?
I notice that the fuse box has fuses for heated seats etc even though my KK doesn't have them due to being the first shipment.
Cheers, in advance.

Are you looking for constant power? The cig lighter fuse has two positions. One will power the cig lighter with key in accessory position, the other fuse position has the cig lighter powered constantly.

Having read some of the horror stories on other forums for the TIPM, I ended up going direct to the battery instead (fused) so that I can run 15a if needed. Poked a tiny hole in the main harness grommet on the passenger side and came in there.
Also ran a second to the boot area for the fridge.
If you want it switching instead of constant you can run a relay off the cig.

Dash power
Thanks guys
Yeah I want it to turn off with the ignition, in case someone leaves something charging for a week.
I have power going to the luggage area for my fridge and Anderson plug for the boat winch, but I was hoping for something simple.
Basically another cig lighter setup, where can I tap into?

What Gemdog said is exactly what you need. Either take power directly from the cig lighter or at least use the cig lighter to drive a relay and take power directly from the battery. I did this and connected a battery meter plus an override switch for occasions when power is needed with ignition off, this also activates a flashing led to give a visual reminder.
