I'm interested in this also.
Bought a new fuel filter unit (which comes with filter attached) earlier this year
There is a new style sensor screwed in the bottom, which the 'pigtail' wiring from the main harness cant reach, as the older sensor came with a length of wiring to reach.
You can just use the existing 'old' sensor and wire, but if there's a new wiring kit a parts number would be useful.
Have done some searches but nothing came up for a JK, only for USA Jeep 2.8 CRD Liberty's which along with a newly designed filter unit a new wiring kit.

Being situated in northern England the heater element would be required as opposed to you guys living in hotter climates.

the fuel in water sensor is useless in the system, it may see like im saying everything negative. But the only sensor that is required for the car to run is the fuel temp sensor.

The fuel in water sensor (on the bottom of the filter) will flash if you drive in puddles or its raining heavy outside, most owners find when it breaks they leave it broken.

As for the heating element, if you are in England and in a area that is below 0.c then run the heater.. The loom is about $150 from jeep, its 2 basic wires, should cost you 10 bucks to make..

Hi all

problem fixed
when you buy the 52126232AF Fuel water separator filter housing for the well-known diesel leakage problem, you have to buy too the 68043086AC update wirink kit.

Hi

Where did you get that info from ?
So is this definitely for the water sensor ?

Just emailed Jeep on this.
Started off with a positive response.
Set up with a case number / worker after verifying the order.
Contacted by customer services from Italy today... not a clue what I was taking about.
Asked if they've actually read the original email as all explained there, obviously no tech knowledge.
They're going to enquire further ...... will wait and see

Hi,

I did not get the information from anyone, because I personally did the job
the water sensor has nothing to do with it, as the leak of fuel is due to the breaking of the fuel filter support head

Is there a detailed diagram of the filter and the connections, that way I could maybe identify what is leaking on mine.
