I like the way the "tails" come out at the end of the bar to protect the flares whilst leaning against a deep rut wall. Nice one. Real neat looking. Good job. I would have made the recovery eylets from two plates welded together though. They are not strong enough. Even the arb standard plate eylets are piss weak and mine have had another pate welded onto them. If the snath is from a slight angle they will bend. At a 4wd park they made me put antree trunk protector on as an equalizer to spread the force cause they are known to split.
Thumbs up...

To be honest I dont think these will bend, the plates are 6mm thick each and are bolted together through the main brackets (another 6mm plate) and then all three are welded together. Only the lower portion of the recovery bracket, where the eyelet is, is 12mm thick (almost 1/2"), the rest of the bracket is 18mm thick. Aren't the ARB eyelets only about 3mm thick, or possible 6mm if doubled up?

Cheers
Steve

I was thinking of a hoop but I needed to get the Jeep back on the road, might add a hoop later on to protect the grill and mount the antennae. It' one of the reasons I didn't powdercoat it

Cheers

Yep, that'll be done later as well. My holiday finishes Sunday and I really should spend some of it with my wife I Plan to add a skid from the bottom of the bumper to the factory skid and to plate the underside of the wings with some sort of skid as well. The main reason for the build was clearance for the tyres and some better recovery points. Also I thought it would look better than stock

Cheers
Steve
