WJ box is definitely different to the ZJ.
Pretty sure the XJ box is interchangeable

The XJ box is interchangeable, but has a slightly lower ratio. But I will throw whatever I can find in there. Unless I can hunt a rebuild kit in Merica whilst I'm there.

FWIW, I wasn't suggesting a WJ box, was just saying I got a good one for a small amount of cash. There are possibly a few ZJ boxes around that are pretty cheap and in good condition.

I think the design of steering box you have was used on a number of makes and models from that era including 'chebby shite' so parts ought to be plentiful and likely cheap.
