Default A/C Fan making awful noise

Hi everyone, just wondering whether this is a common problem

On the way home from Stockton today, I noticed the ac fan was making a terrible noise, sort of like a worn bearing noise. Hoping it isn't anything too serious. Any insight would be great.

Yeah my stock fan made that sound as it died. Search around for aftermarket JK fans, the stock one is known to be problematic.

Sorry for the confusion Mashed, used to have an XJ, recently got a 07 Rubicon Unlimted. So it's the interior a/c fan that is making the weird noise. Is that the fan you are talking about, Mojotec? Aftermarket ones? Do you remember where you got yours?
