Wasn't easy narrowing down what to send to them that is for sure. I didn't know what would be used, but they used everything. I only have the build up until the cab metal work was finished. Hoping they will be interested in the building of the bed and finishing off the interior etc and painted next.

Good news so far.
Been through engineering where every external light was checked for the E codes and bolts in the drivetrain for the correct size and grade etc.
All welds inspected and the list goes on.
Braking setup was road tested as well and it far exceeded the brake force and g-force requirements along with the fade test.
The up shot is no changes needed at all!
This morning went for a EPA noise compliance test and passed that easily too.
Next is a roadworthy certification and booked an inspection at Vicroads, at our local registration branch, in 2 weeks time.
New first registration costs are as follows:

Initial registration fee calculator
Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect to pay when registering an unregistered vehicle.

Vehicle market value
$30,000.00
Calculation breakdown
Appointment fee
$19.20
Inspection fee
$30.70
Registration fee
$306.90
Transport Accident Charge
$490.00
Insurance Duty
$49.00
Number plates
$38.40
Motor vehicle duty
$1,260.00
Total fee payable
$2,194.20

Don't think I can get away with valuing it less than that to bring the stamp duty down which is the biggest part of the cost.
Have to bring receipts for the Original Willys purchase and that of the donor Grand Cherokee to show where the engine came from etc. and to prove its identity.

Going to be a nerve racking experience

Feel like I am waiting on my final collage exam results after 12 year in the making! Waiting for the inspector at the new Ringwood brand of Vicroads.

I have my full engineers certificate, EPA results, roadworthy certificate, identity proof, even a letter from the Department of Infrastructure in Canberra to say it doesn't need the import certificate they are insisting on as it is not required on an 1948 Vehicle!

A very long modification plate as every code means something that the engineer had to check and approve that it was sound and done to an acceptable standard etc. All passed first time as did the roadworthy certificate inspection and EPA test.

First stop after driving it away now fully registered and engineered.
