Default Replace Tyre Pressure Monitors?

Hi all

I'm due for a new set of tyres. Just wondering, should I also replace the tyre pressure monitors at the same time? They are working fine but now over 10 years old.

Thanks

Good luck..

Im about to replace them on my 2009 WH. The metal valve stems failed on one of them - a slight leak. The sender still worked, but you need to buy complete valve stem/sender unit.

Priced them from the dealer, quote was about $160. For one unit for one tyre.....
And he said there was only one unit left in the whole of Australia.... in Sydney.

So on to fleabay and purchase a set of 4 for under $100 including postage...

Hopefully get them fitted next week.

Cheers.

Replace as they are due to run out of battery time anyway, ten years is really good effort but don't expect more than a year or two.

Well I tried this a while ago too and failed as the epoxy is way to tough for sure. They are cheap as at around 13-20 each and my past posts on this suggested an an eBay seller in the Gold Coast who only sells fresh stock for multiple cars.
