Default CRD Injector Part Number

My CRD is a bit smokey under load. It's not using oil. I'm almost at the point of biting the bulet and replacing the injectors, having tried most other options including EGR defeat etc.

According to the "Everything CRD" thread, the part numbers are:
Bosch - 0445110097
Jeep - RX137254AB (5080300AA old number)
MB - A 611 070 16 87

My injectors installed are (differences in bold):
Bosch - 0445110204
MB - A 611 070 05 87

Have I got the wrong injectors installed currently? Which ones do I go shopping for?

There was a replacement part number so the old injectors will be correct, so will the new ones with the new part number.

What got rid of a lot of smoke for me was cleaning the intake manifold. It's a bitch of a job...but I would say it can be done on a full Saturday

While you're at it, you can also delete the swirl flaps (requires drilling and taping the flap spindle holes)

You you need a new manifold gasket? How hard was it to untangle the engine harness from the manifold?

It can be a PITA not to disconnect but to reconnect, particularly if leave if for a few weeks. Doing it over a weekend should be pretty easy to do though.

The swirl flap delete is probably not a bad idea, i left mine in place as that's how the engine was designed.

I have 2005 2.8 KJ CRD. My original injectors were replaced by "specialists" even though there was nothing wrong that a good service could not fix. Eventually I had the original injectors, tested, serviced by Bosch Diesel specialist. To save on labor I put them back myself but they must be paired with the ECU. I then took the Jeep to the aforementioned specialist to pair the injectors with the ECU. During the trip to their workshop I had smoke, rough idle and poor performance. After the ECU pairing everything was 100%. For what it's worth.
