Default Brakes

Hey,

Anyone know how much rotors / pads are for the front of an XJ? Where from?

RHF is making a noise - getting it looked at this arvo but just interested in what it's likely to cost?

Cheers
Cherokee

any brake shop can supply after market ones. I got a quote sometime ago for DBA rotors. I think they were about $130 each. There are several options to choose from. Some people say the slotted ones are not the best choice if your going to get them muddy. It would be best to give a brake shop a call as this was a long time ago and my memory is a bit rusty now

I've seen dba slotted rotors on sale for around ~$110 each so hillsjeep is on the money. I was told slotted rotors are fine for 4WD's but cross-drilled are a no-no for the reasons hillsjeep gave.

Just did mine. $110 for rotors and $96 each for Bendix pads. This was from Repco as I was in a rush. The guy was a 4WD nut and said stay away from slotted - but might have meant what Wheeliebin said. I have used these guys http://www.suburbanimports.com.au/jeepparts.htm or now I ring Wooders as he has never let me down with good advice.
