Default Navigation upgrade

I just had my rep mygig upgraded last week. After the mrs complained to CJD Aust about it they agreed to provide it for free. The dealer said it should cost about $200 but really didn't have a clue. It took 2 weeks for the discs to make it from Melbourne to Brisbane I am not sure how they send stuff but I could have driven down and back 8 times 😄. I had posted the info up in the GC forum but then the meltdown happened and it may have been lost. I wi post the photos again here for a to see. My impressions of the upgrade so far are fairly positive. The mapping data so far is proving to be hugely updated on the past version and I have yet to find the annoying message advising the data is not verified. The map engine also seems far more responsive than previous and the few trials I have done seemed to redirect much faster rather than just tell me to do a u turn. In Brisbane metro area the new tunnels are all there so I can only assume the maps are pretty much as current as they can be. The photos below are of the part numbers etc that the dealer updated my mygig with.

That's good info. That means I will need to check to see if mine is updated to 2014/15 when I pick up my JK later.

Do you upgrade this yourself, or does it require the dealer to update?
Thanks for the part number info.

G'day Leigh. I had the dealer do mine but the instructions are included which would suggest it is a fairly basic process but it can be a little time consuming. Also my discs came with a product number but also require an activation code provided thru the dealer and requires the vin as well to obtain the activation code.

It appears to be a half hour dealer job ensuring that the correct coding matches the vin number. QUOTED $245 ALL UP
No actual discs are supplied
