Default WK2 ACC / FWC sensor calibration

Hi all - my first new post

So I have a 2012 WK2 Overland, and an issue with the adaptive cruise control (ACC) sensor which causes ACC to turn off after a few mins of use and the dash message tells me the FWC is OFF and to 'Clean the sensor in the front of the vehicle'.
After multiple cleans and drives, and advice on the forum, I reached the conclusion that there is something wrong with the system and needs to be looked at.

The problem is probably fixed with calibration, but the couple of Jeep dealers I called gave me wildly differing estimates -

Dealer1: $150 minimum to run the diagnostic scan to get code. ANY fix over that is extra, charged at $150 an hour.

Dealer2: $88 for diagnostic scans, and a full calibration would cost $525.

Dealer3: $150 for scan, and if it requires "just a calibration" then it would be done as part of the scan.

I'm out of the Jeep warranty period and dont want this to burn a hole in the bacnk, but very confused... has anyone had a similar problem/solved it? How much did it cost?

Thanks!

I had exactly the same symptoms, my radar was pointing to the sky slightly, after adjusting the screws on the radar bracket, it works perfectly again.
Take off the lower front fascia and check visually that the radar is pointing directly ahead.

MY sons 2012 had the same problem and had it back to the dealer many many times to sort it out and they eventually got a tech up from Brisbane and he couldn't sort it either so they ended up replacing the lot at a cost of $6000 ( under warenty thankfully).
I sure hope yours can be sorted easier and cheaper than that.

Came back from Jeep dealership today, they found that previous owner had ... wait for it ... super glued the sensor in place, and it was wearing off which caused the sensor to move in and out of place. 😞
Anyway the dealer ordered $21 clamps to put it in place and then found that the part was revised by Jeep and now we need a bracket to fix it. Bracket $500~ and will require a full calibration after remount $500~.

So this super glue solution will cost a thousand bucks to fix. I'll see how the temp solution lasts before doing anything...

Update: Found another traveller with the same issue, looks like a feasible solution on this thread. I'll report back on how it went
