They aren't selling 2017 models, still selling their 2015 stock, and the 75th models are 2016, but no doesn't appear to be any map updates available.

My factory NAV is awesome, unbeatable off-road, updates are released regularly and are great value for money........said no car owner, ever.

To get these sort of features I believe you will be looking at an aftermarket option, additional Nav unit, app for a phone/tablet or something like this:

Another feature I have seen on some Laredos is leather seats, yet this is not a current option. Was it an option on earlier models, or perhaps a special offer?

That is a seriously expensive way to go mate. Having a look at the new Hema HX-1 Navigator can be had for a bit over $600....makes the asking price of the Ebay activation code for the Jeep unit seem pretty stupid too.

The price in that link you gave is $1649. Does this unit replace the original?

It's not a factory option on the laredo, but most dealers offered it as an option through an upholsterer that could be done prior to delivery. I.e similar to window tinting.
