Its the Coil!.......................
I took it off today watched a youtube video grabbed my ElCheapo multimeter and could not get a reading my neighbour had a better multimeter and I borrowed his there was no reading between the plug pins it should be about 1.4 I think? from the pins to the dizzy link it should be between 11.? to 15.? cant remember it was 8.40
and to top it off there were 7 cracks in it!
It must of got water in it when I cleaned the engine then days later I ran the engine to flush and the coil was still damp? and the earth wire wouldn't of helped either
I think it is broken .... just ordered a new NGK off eBay
Up Running and Flushing Soon

Good find. I think they normally crack on the engine side and can be hard to see when fitted.

IIRC spec is 0.95-1.15 ohms on the primary and 11,300-15,300 on the secondary.

Never heard of Pat brand. Hope it’s a good one.
I usually just swap coils/caps and buttons out every few years as service items.
Currently I have a 0707 red Ultra Power coil fitted.

Cheers,

Well lots of action here but nothing Jeep related ...
Still waiting for the coil in the mail .. Fri 14th to Tues 18th Covid 19 delays bla bla I just want to get it Started!
Get it Running flushing and get the new duel core aluminium radiator in .... I am going to put a ZJ fan in it .. Why not make it Bullet Proof after all the heat suffering I have endured with the 96
So I wait on the Post
