Jeep’s Toledo plant will be celebrating a milestone at some point this week when it builds its 500,000th vehicle.
That’s not 500,000 vehicles in its entire life, that’s 500,000 Jeeps in just one year! The number smashes the plant's previous record of 377,911 which was set in 2007. In the US, the plant is second only to Nissan’s huge plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, which is on track to produce.
Toledo is where Jeep makes two of its most popular vehicles – the Wrangler (2nd most popular Jeep in the range) and new Cherokee (third most popular).
