Default 2015 kl trailhawk
Hi guys only new here has anyone else had any problems with there transmissions in the kl Cherokees? On Monday mine had the malfunction light come on then service stop start system. Took it straight into jeep in brissy they did diagnostics and said the transmission has to be replaced but I haven't had any problems with it. So they ground the car and looks like I won't get it back for 2+ weeks. Not overly happy as its only 3 months old but hey what can you do.

Nope, my '14 traily is running fine, 12 months & 18,000kms without an issue. Sorry to hear you copped the transmission of death - seems a few folks in the states have had similar issues

My '15 Limited is all good as well. 8 months in and 9000kms with no issues. Sorry to hear also. Hopefully they can get you sorted quick smart.

That's great to hear am hoping after the swap that will be it, not overly happy as jeep said I wouldn't be out of pocket but after going to hertz to pick up my car had to pay for insurance which was close to $300 for 7 days.

Can you ask to be reimbursed out of pocket expenses?

Hope it turns out ok.
Only done 2k in our TH and so far all good. Sometimes getting the thing out of low range takes a bit of time and rocking back and forward.

You would like to think that 12 mths into the model they would have these trans issues sorted out . Did they tell you what the problem is ?

Had my trans reprogramed last week , it was getting a bit lost sometimes , skipping gears and taking too long to go back into 1st . Seems to have solved most issues .

Will be taking off for a month early august towing a small van , about 1.75 T so that should bring any trans problems to the surface , not that I want any because for the first half of the trip I don't think there will be any Jeep dealers around .

But no lights on at this stage .
