Default Diff Covers on Quadra Drive Diffs

I was wondering if anyone with QuadraDrive on their WJ has changed their front Diff covers (like to the Rockcrusher cover with the group buy 6 months ago)? If they have I am interested in if they have had any issues - specifically with the fluid levels and geting them right so that the QuadraDrive works properly.

Its the same as quadratrac II but the fluid you need to put in it has to have the lsd additive.

Thanks MRGC. I am actually interested in the fluid to additive ratios that people have used in their quadradrive. Since QD is very particular about the ratios of diff fluid to additive (if the ratio isn't absolutley correct the QD will not 'lock' properly) I am more interested in who has or is running increased fluid levels in their QD diff and what sort of issues (if any) they have had in regards to the QD working. So far it doesn't look like anyone with QD has changed their diff covers here in Australia. Might post on some of the US sites and see if anyone there has changed their diff covers and fluid levels.

Do the rock crushers have a bigger internal space??? Is that what you mean?

Does it say to add more fluid to the diff if a "rockcrusher" is fitted.. If so i imagine just keep the same ratio as per standard but add more... So if its one additive bottle when doing a oil change when the standard hats are on just add the relevant % of LSD additive..???

Is that what your trying to sus????

Thats exactly what I am after. The Rockcrusher does have a bigger internal volume (at least I think it does) as the fill hole is higher. That said when I asked them about differances in volume they were unable to tell me by how much and all that sort of stuff which is why I never went in with the group buy (it became too much hassle to figure it all out). I have just receieved a reply back today about the the new ARB diff hat and they have told me their diff covers have the same internal volume. So I am probably going to go with one of those, plus I like that it has a drain plug and a inspection dip stick.

Whilst the fill hole is higher, I don't think the rockcrusher (or Solid) covers actually increase the internal space - so you can still put the same amount of fluid in there.
I can compare the volume tomorrow between 2 D44 covers if anyone is interested.
