Take a rough measure of the tube and just buy a pack of O rings from supercheap/autobarn/repco the colour usually denotes its make up and use, always handy to have a selection of different sizes...

Nitrile or EPDM orings are the best for engine coolant, and heat. Not Viton.
Most bearing supplie shops will stock them

Is there any chance anyone has changed this oring and possibly taken exact measurements? Impossible to source from Jeep separately of course but I will pick up from a local oring manufacturer here in Brisbane but keen to pick up before I have it all apart! thanks in advance. (The pic is from previous work!)

Ah is that the pipe that goes around the back of the engine into the side of the EGR cooler? I was trying to find this pipe as thoughts of blocking the coolant path to EGR cooler but couldn't work out where that pipe came from.

Hey folks. Drover, thanks for the perspective. I’m always cautious to take a stab at sizing these up, but I did look for some O-ring kits and found 2x worthwhile ones at supercheap auto. one is a Viton (which I was after!) set and one’s standard nitrile.

BJM, thanks. Interestingly, I was informed of the opposite. Viton has a higher temperature rating and is also well suited and unaffected by glycol and many other oil and petrol substances. The original O-rings that come in the EGR cooler are Viton (guessing because of the much higher temperatures than in the standard cooling system) . As this is in the ‘valley’, I definitely want something to handle higher heat. Viton is -2—— 20 - +200° where as EPDM is generally 100-150deg. Any nitrile O-rings I have looked at seem to only show they are rated to 100°. Maybe missing something but let me know if you’ve heard otherwise.
GC Dingo, yes, you’re spot on. Wraps around and connect to the small EGR coolant hose.

Yes I have always used Viton in vehicle cooling systems however I was looking up a US oring catalogue I have and they said Viton didnt like gylcol ! Some of the guys are putting a heat resistant sleeve around the new hose as well.
