I guess any break in TT could hinder performances in WeRock

Same for me as well...

TT06 entry may well be coming, just waiting to see how many people are entering really and weighing up all of the costs to get there and back.
Good thing is the jeep doesn't need any more mods to be competitive although I believe 40" or 42" tyres would be useful

I believe Shane's focus next year might be in building a buggy and competing in Ozrock (6 events) and WErock (4-6 events) events.
If this happens then the drivetrain would be coming out of the Firetruck and going into the buggy. So no more Firetruck

If that happens, I think I will build my jeep for TT and all terrain events and Shane can build his buggy. Whichever comps are on we can just take the most appropriate vehicle.
Or something like that...

Plans keep changing, but definitely watch the nominations closer to the deadline.
I am definitely trying to talk him into it as it was a hell of a lot of fun

Will keep you posted.

cheers

I sort of heard the same from Shane, moving towards the buggy etc.. I wasnt going to say to much because I didnt know if he was making it public.

Does that mean your car might become a 4x4 again instead of just a 2x4 .. lol

Who knows what he will decide.

Keep the jeep and build a buggy?
Scrap the jeep and build a buggy?
Just keep the jeep for another year and wait to build a buggy?
Buy a buggy from the US?
Buy something else from the US and use the parts?
It's a mystery at this point, but I am trying to get him to run the Firetruck at TT

My jeep is 4x4 - just have to bolt the front driveshaft up before wheeling
Drives much nicer on the street with the front DS disconnected. heh.

cheers

After that long a build for Firetruck you'd think he'd want to play with it a bit longer!

For what it is worth, when he told me what his ideas were, I said noooooo. I think it will be a hard decision because even Shane knows he doesnt want to dismantle the firetruck! dont do it.
