Default 1995 front mud flap fitting

Hey all,

A few years ago I pulled a set of mudflaps off a pre update for my 1995. I'd like to fit them (for that OEM look haha) but am unsure how to. Anyone got any ideas on how they fit? There's no holes or bracket to support them but I have the bolts it came with. Cheers.

I still have my original mud flaps on (95 Sport was sold with the rear only). I had to replace one of the bolts that fell off. The flaps managed to stay on after 25 years. They are highly durable and still look new. I wish I had fronts as well because that's where the bulk of the mud, rock and dirt gets thrown from and accumulates under the driver and front pax doors.

I have them fitted to my pre-update '96...they have some "spacers" iirc

can take some pics if you want ?

they seem to stop a fair percentage of mud

I did intend to take them down and put anti-seize on the fasteners

That would be excellent, as I have come to the realisation there's an angled piece of steel which goes in the guard to hold it on as well as the spaced out bolt on the bottom edge. I'm very keen as Itll make it a lot easier to keep clean.

easy...3 x self-tappers thru the factory flares and one 11mm bolt & nut thru the factory plastic splash shield.

"Jeep" wording faces backwards

8mm heads x 20 or 25mm 8g with washers, and I think the bolt is a special item but could either be replicated with a hollow spacer or screwed flat, like on my Limited

they do a fair job, I often have to traverse a muddy bit, and afterwards, just road speed off the tyres will throw up a fuck ton of dirt

all copper-slipped and fish-oiled now
