OK,the snorkel was fitted on Friday and let me first say i'm very happy with the end result.
So a big thanks to Scott and the guys at Seldom Seen Vehicle Engineering.

But it took some work to get there.

First the template holes did not line up with the snorkel studs so they had to be redrilled and the gaurd was looking like a piece of swiss cheese. And the studs in the snorkel were on an angle so those holes had to be made bigger.

The R/H corner of the bonnet hits the snorkel when open and the plastic inner gaurd holes were very hard to line up with the inner gaurd due to the size of the flexable tube and it dosn't allow the inner gaurd to sit back in place and there are still 2 holes under the lip of the gaurd which don't line up.

But as i said the end result i think is pritty good, the snorkel is a lot noisier than expected but i don't mind that (nothing wrong with a bit of induction and turbo noise) and with the window up you can hardly hear anything.

The only change i've made is a Safari snorkel head because it just looks better.

So here's some pic's of the install and the finished product.

here are a couple of pics of the holes having to be redrilled and enlarged....

and this is half the reason why the holes were made bigger.........notice the studs on an angle

and the finished product

I do have some more pic's of the install if anyone wants more info.

That's a shame that the studs were not fitted correctly and the holes did not line up. Elsewhere in this post I gave my blurb about fitting mine - I had one hole not line up but everything else went smoothly. From memory my studs were straight. Consider giving Airflow the feedback.

Glad you like the induction noise with the window down...

Why couldnt they just heat up the plastic with a heat gun & straighten studs?
Btw, it wound up looking good.
